Practising English

Practising English

Enhancing language skills enable newcomers to participate fully in all the aspects of Canadian society such as finding a job, attending an educational institution, meet new people and be involved in the community.

In partnership with the Grande Prairie Public Library, GPCN holds Free English Conversational Club where volunteers and newcomers meet on a weekly basis to practice English conversational skills in a small group setting. This is a great opportunity to discuss a wide range of topics about Canada daily life, to connect to other peoples and cultures.

English conversation circles are opened to landed immigrants, permanent residents, convention refugees.

You will receive a certificate of participation if you attend at least 20 sessions. All sessions take place at the Grande Prairie Public Library from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm every Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
